2008 Training Conference Information
Planning for the 4th Annual Training Conference has been underway for months.  The
Executive Board will, once again, take on the task of bringing you the absolute best
training for dispatchers anywhere in California, and might we go so far as to say the
entire country.  We have some huge surprises planned for you this year, but we can not
do it without you being there!  There are some basic things we already know, while
there are still others that are pending.  As information is made available, we will update
the website.  Check back often as we will update this site frequently.

The Pines Resort at Bass Lake
With the Pines Resort located in the geographic center of the state, it just seems to be
a logical place for us to hold the 4th Annual CTDA Training Conference.  Just 14 miles
from the southern most entrance to Yosemite National Park, this beautiful setting is
conducive to a quiet, relaxing atmosphere which is perfect for learning.  For more
information on the resort,
The Key Note Speakers
On behalf of the Executive Board, I am so excited to be able to let you know who the
Key Note Speakers for the 4th Annual Training Conference will be.  With literally
months of planning, we are lucky enough to have with us this year Cheryl James and
Modesto "Moe"  Muniz, of the
New York City Police Department.  These two heroes,
in every sense of the word, were on duty during the horrific and unthinkable events of
September 11, 2001.  Cheryl was working the Manhattan Police Channel, and Mo
was working the Special Operations channel.  We are honored and truly lucky to have
them as our guests this year.  You will absolutely not want to miss this
NEVER
BEFORE SEEN, ONE TIME ONLY
presentation.  Click here for more information on
Cheryl and Moe.

The Pines - Getting Here
The closest airport is Fresno Air Terminal (FAT) with limited flights into the area.  It is
located just over an hour from Bass Lake.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is
located 3 and a half hours from Bass Lake, but has more choices in flights.  Another
option would be to fly into the
Sacramento International Airport. (SMF) It is located 3
hours and 20 minutes from Bass Lake.
2008 Conference Instructors
Another exciting year has been planned and the instructors are all lined up to bring one
of the best conferences to you.  With seven different classes to choose from, each
student will be able to customize their schedule to fit their needs.  Take a look at the
classes being offered and don't delay in returning the class selection form once you get
it.  Please
click here for the instructors and classes.
The Conference and POST Credit
POST gave the California Tactical Dispatcher Association an early Christmas present by
approving the conference classes for CPT credit for the 2nd year in a row.  That means
students will be able to earn sixteen (16) Continued Professional Training credits by
attending the 2008 Training Conference.  Combined with the great classes, low pricing, AND
CPT credits - the conference is a huge value!  POST control number is 5990-28000-07
2008 Conference - All Inclusive Pricing
Click here for the 2008 Conference pricing schedule.  We have added new instructors,
new classes, the food choices will be better and we are adding time to the conference
schedule this year.  The prices went up a little this year, but we are still significantly
lower than any other association training conference, and the main difference is we are
ALL INCLUSIVE!
Sponsorship Possibilities
The California Tactical Dispatcher Association Executive Board offers this exciting
opportunity to companies who may want to be a sponsor of the largest Training
Conference for Dispatchers in California.  There will be over 200 attendees from all
over the country - and this would be a great way to show your companies support.  For
further information, contact
Don Jones, Vice President of CTDA, for more information
or
click here to go to the Sponsor Information Page.
